Our College

Peregian Beach College commenced in 2002 as a primary school. It's objective was to meet the needs and hopes of local families who were seeking a high quality but common-sense approach to the education of their children. The College aims to provide an educational environment which gives students a strong sense of personal worth and belonging and which attempts to reflect and promote the positive values of its families.

In the course of 2004 a strategic review was undertaken which led the Board of Directors to expand the vision and meet the further needs of its families through the offering of a full Kindergarten to Year 12 College Program. Peregian Beach College continues its planned development of this vision with a Secondary program which commenced in 2006, with our first Year 12s graduating in 2012.

The Middle School at Peregian Beach College commenced in 2017 in response to a trend, both in Australia and internationally, towards addressing the distinct and unique needs of adolescents as a group in transition to adulthood. The creation of the Middle School also enables the College to respond in a more coherent manner to the curriculum requirements of Phase 3 (the final phase) of the Australian Curriculum. The Middle School consists of Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 and the students and teachers will work as part of the secondary (senior) school. Middle schooling with Years 5 to 8, whilst consistent with a true ‘middle school’ philosophy, will be unique on the Sunshine Coast.

Peregian Beach College is a non-faith based, truly independent College educating students from Kindergarten to Year 12 on the one site.
